The ultimate Mandelbrot set explorer for Macintosh
MX provides a set of tools to
explore the Mandelbrot set and
the related Julia sets. It is designed to not only produce awe-inspiring
images, but to facilitate learning about how these images are produced.
Visual editors are provided which mimic the actual algorithm in the program.
What it is Not:
It is not everything to everyone. It is not designed to be able to
produce 7000 "types of fractals." It is designed to explore the relation
between the Mandelbrot set and the Julia sets. It is designed to
promote learning about these very interesting sets. Many of those "comprehensive"
fractal programs out there get so bogged down with providing 2^n + 1
features that they miss out on many interesting details of each one.
